Oude Molen Eco Village offers various volunteer oppertunities for students, school groups or individuals - either local or international. Please inquire with the various enterprises and projects on how you can asssit our beautiful village, to create a better space for the greater public and world to enjoy. Your valuable expertise, particiapation and knowledge are greatly appreciated.

The Rooster's Corner Accommodation caters to international students involved in research or volunteer work who are contributing towards the development of community - based projects on the Eco Village or Non- Profit Organisations off the village, such as U-turn Homeless Ministries or the Bishop Tutu Foundation, an opportunity to experience Local South African culture while they are adding value to various communities in our society

We also make a difference through sport, jazz & development programs to promote sustainable living.
While we offer an eatery & tea garden, we also focus on education, sport and music development, and volunteer opportunities.

OM Food Garden is an urban organic agricultural project that provides training courses, safe spaces for community gatherings, a childrens garden project, community service for schools, volunteer oppertunies, integrated garden therapy sessions on request and embraces allotment gardeners.

Oude Molen has persistantly been under threat from goverment for development, replacing the open spaces and environmentally friendly footprint, with yet another overly constructed proposal on the auspices of affordable housing, forever changing this public space, which forms a vital part of the green belt of Cape Town for the greater community.
